Boris Obolenski

Boris Obolenski hails from Smolensk, Russia. A man of many talents, Boris claims to have been everything from a fireman to a cosmonaut candidate to a sword swallower. He comes to Hope to meet up with his true love, Pamela, but discovers that she has married the mailman instead. Crushed, Boris chooses to stay on Hope, where he finds a job as cook at the Widow's Walk and a new home.

Boris is filled with a passionate, yet innocent love for America. His lack of practical knowledge about the country and his less than perfect grasp of American slang and cliches often results in hilarious mistakes and turns of phrases.
