Maureen & Cindy's Stargate Folie á Deux Fanfics

What does folie á deux mean, you ask? It means a madness shared by two. So, why have we called this site Maureen and Cindy's Stargate Folie á Deux? Well, let me explain.

Not so long ago, Cindy and I came to the conclusion that we must be clones, created by the Asgard from the same genetic material but made to look different and placed upon the planet about 12 years apart (yes, I'm the eldest). So, what happens when two fic-writing clones get together on the phone? Why, we start coming up with fic ideas, of course. Yes, that's right. Every time we talk on the phone, Cindy and I discuss all these wicked ideas for stories. It was, therefore, only natural that we do something about it.

And so is born Maureen and Cindy's Stargate Folie á Deux, a madness shared by two. It is divided into two categories. The first is the Episode Missing Scene/Tag section, where Cindy and I each write a missing scene/tag that shares a common theme. By reading them, you'll see how she and I take the same idea and create our own story from it. You see, even though we're clones, it doesn't mean we think exactly alike.

The second section is for story ideas that are not based on an episode. Some of these were originally thought up by Cindy, others by me. We each contributed to the plotlne of the other's story. Again, instead of co-authoring a single fic, we each wrote our own version.

The idea on which these stories is based is that, on Jack, Daniel, Sam and Teal'c's first mission as the newly formed SG-1, Daniel finds out about Teal'c's part in what happened to Sha're and Skaara and, as can be imagined, doesn't react well. The stories that Cindy and I came up turned out to be quite different from each other.

On SG-1's first mission all together as a team, Daniel finds out about Teal’c’s role in what happened to Sha’re and Skarra. This is the first story in a trilogy about Daniel’s reaction to Teal’c’s part in Sha’re and Skarra being made hosts, Teal’c’s guilt regarding it, and how a friendship was forged in spite of it.
  A Better Man

On their first mission as SG-1, Jack, Sam, Daniel, and Teal'c find themselves at the mercy of a paranoid people. To make things worse, Teal'c reveals his part in the abduction and implantation of Sha're and Skaara. The real mission then becomes remaining a team in the face of a threat to their lives.
