Another Man

Categories: Drabble, Thoughts
Rating: G
Content Warning: None
Spoilers: None
Author's Notes: This is the only drabble I've written to date. It was written for a collection of drabbles to be given to Carmen Argenziano as a thank you for his pro-Daniel/Sam statements.

I knew she had feelings for Jack, but he was not the right man for her.  Don't get me wrong.  I like Jack.  He's a good man, but he isn't what my daughter needs.  That can be found within another man.  I see him now, talking with her.  They could truly be happy together, if only Sam would see it.

Saying goodbye to Sam, the man comes down the corridor.

"Hey, Jacob," he says warmly when he sees me.

"Hey yourself.  You'll be joining us for dinner, right?"

"Yep. See you then."

Sighing silently, I watch Daniel Jackson walk away.
